Abstract
This Order, consisting of 37 articles divided into six Chapters and five Annexes, establishes the application regime of action No. 7.3, «Rede Natura payments», integrated in measure No. 7, «Agriculture and natural resources», area No. 3, «Environment, resource efficiency and climate», of the Mainland Rural Development Programme. Supports provided for the «Rede Natura payments» have the following objectives: a) Restore, enhance and protect biodiversity within the Natura 2000 Network; b) Partially compensate farmers for restrictions on the pursuit of farming activity resulting from the application of the Birds and Habitats Directives. Zonal supports with agri-environmental character have the following objectives: a) Restore, enhance and protect biodiversity within the Natura 2000 Network; b) Support farmers who, under an active management logic, take on agri-environmental commitments in areas within the Natura 2000 network with specific natural values.
