Abstract
This Order, consisting of 10 articles and 2 Annexes, establishes sword fish quota caught with surface longline in Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. It specifies sword fish quota available for Continental Portugal, to be caught within the Atlantic Ocean (North 5°N) is subdivided for authorised fishing vessels destined to sword fishing, according to Annex I. This Order also establishes fishing vessels requirements in order to obtain a sword fishing licence and perform any activity related to this fish species. Sword fishing quotas may be transferred to another fishing vessel according to the established within this Order. Annex I specifies fishing vessels allowed to perform surface longline fishing in the Atlantic Ocean beyond the North 5°N. Annex II lists authorised fishing vessels allowed to perform surface longline fishing in Atlantic Ocean below South 5°N.
