Abstract
This Regulamentary Decree, composed of 12 articles, regulates the Portuguese Agency for Environment (APA). APA is a public national body aiming at developing and supporting policies in the field of environment and sustainable development, with particular regards to the following fields: fight against climate change, air pollution, environmental impact assessment, waste, risk prevention, pollution prevention control. The Decree defines its structure and main bodies. Moreover, it regulates the succession regime of the extinguished institutes, namely the Instituto do Ambiente and the Instituto dos Resíduos.
