This Resolution approves the structural fire prevention and restoration projects in the Natural Parks of: Douro Internacional, Montesinho and Tejo Internacional, in the Natural Reserve of Serra da Malcata and in the Natural Monument of Portas de Ródão. The Douro International Natural Park (PNDI) created through Regulatory Decree No. 8/98 of 11 May establishes measures aimed at valuing the most relevant characteristics from a natural, landscape, socioeconomic and cultural point of view. It was created with the purpose of valuing and conserving the natural heritage through its sustainable use, promoting the quality of life of the populations and valorizing the architectural, historical and cultural heritage. Its specific measures are as follows: Structural prevention and surveillance. Reduce the risk of fire, including through the creation of mosaic fuel management lanes and rail cleaning; Control exotic species; c) Build borders by discontinuous cleaning of weeds. Restoration and conservation of priority habitats, especially of Holly oak and junipers, in an area of ​​200 ha; Increase the extent of occurrence of priority habitats of Holly oak and junipers and ensure the conservation; Carry out afforestation actions with native species. Awareness campaigns for silvopastoral good practices. The Tejo Internacional Natural Park (PNTI) was created by Regulatory Decree No. 9/2000 of 18 August and its limits have been redefined by Regulatory Decrees No. 3/2004 of 12 February and No. 21/2006 of 27 December. The Natural Reserve of Serra da Malcata (RNSM) was created by Decree-Law No. 294/81 of 16 October, due to the existence in its territory of botanical and fauna values ​​of interest and having as main objective the conservation of the Iberian lynx, one of the most endangered species in the world, having been reclassified by Regulatory Decree No. 28/99 of 30 November.
