Abstract
The Law defines the baselines system (sect. 3) and provides for the establishment of a territorial sea of Palau, an Exclusive Fishery Zone and an Extended Fishery Zone (sects. 4-6). Other provisions deal with foreign fishing agreements (sect. 12), international fishing agreements (sect. 13), fishing permits (sect. 14), prohibited acts (sect. 15), penalties (sect. 16), forfeitures (sect. 17) enforcement (sect. 20). Section 10 provides for the creation of the Palau Maritime Authority. The Law consists of 23 sections.
