Abstract
This Act provides for the preservation of Koror Rock Islands area by preventing the degradation caused by tourists and other non-residents. This Act lays down appropriate regulations and prohibitions with the aims of: (I) maintaining the benefit of future generations of Palauans, (II) securing Palau's future as a tourist destination, (III) reserving a portion of the Koror Rock Islands area for exclusive use by Palauans to meet their present and future subsistence fishing needs, and (IV) funding the substantial and necessary cost of patrolling and protecting the Koror Rock Islands Area by imposing fees on tourists for using Toruist Activity Area.

An Act to designate certain Koror's Rock Island areas for reasonable recreational use consistent with this Act by creating the Rock Island Recreation Area and establishing guidelines for recreational use which will prevent further degradation and destruction of this important and unique Koror State resource; and for related purposes.
