Abstract
This Act lays down provisions for the protection and conservation of wetland and mangrove areas within the State of Koror to maintain their significant benefits to the people and to the environment. This Act prohibits the cutting and/or harvesting of trees and vegetation below the high tide line in mangroves and within wetland areas for the ultimate purposes of ensuring food security, protection of habitats and species, protection of breeding grounds for many native species of birds, crabs, shellfish, and fish, and preservation of marine and terrestrial ecosystems.
