Abstract
This Act addresses the decline in the populations of wild sea cucumbers in the Koror waters due to the stresses from commercial gathering and sale, and possibly from exportation. This Act lays down provisions on the moratorium on taking and possession of sea cucumbers for a period of three years from the effective date of this Act; prohibitions to take, harvest, possess, buy or sell any sea cucumber during the moratorium period; exemptions from prohibitions for limited scientific research or study purposes; and penalties for the violation of the prohibitions.
