Decree No. 40 of 1992 defining the Breadth of the Territorial Sea and Contiguous Zone of the State of Qatar.

The Decree proclaims the territorial sea of the State of Qatar of twelve nautical miles "measured from the baselines determined in accordance with the rules of international law" and a Contiguous Zone with a breadth of twelve nautical miles measured from the outer limit of the Territorial Sea (arts. 2 and 3). The Cabinet shall issue the decisions necessary for the implementation of this Decree (art. 4).
