Environment Minister Decision No.24 of 2014 to determine the conditions and controls to obtain drilling groundwater wells' license and the adoption of the necessary forms.

This Resolution consisting of 7 articles aims at protecting ground water resources and establishes that only national institutions, experienced in the field of security and environmental safety, equipped in line with the specifications of the State, and committed to the regulations set by the competent department of water can obtain permits to drill wells. The application for a license has to be presented to the competent management of the affairs of the water, and the license will last three years. It is banned any work for digging or cleaning or deepening wells or modify any device associated with it for the purpose of the increase in the amount of water allowed to drag.
