Abstract
These Instructions consisting of 12 articles deal with radioactive pollution, giving procedures to intervene and reduce the danger, divided for (i) spatial pollution (arts.1 - 4); (ii) personal pollution, either internal or external (art.5); (iii) contamination of tools and utensils (art.6); (iv) pollution of closed areas and desks (art.7); (v) contamination of cloths and other necessities (art.8).
Maximum permissible limits for free contamination areas are given in article 9. The upper limits for contamination permitted for laboratory floors, tools, equipment and transportable objects are given in article 10. Art.12 lists duties to be met by radiation protection officers in laboratories to minimize the possible radioactive contamination.
