Abstract
This Law consisting of 12 articles aims at issuing in Qatar the Law on the Control of Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer approved by GCC. Responsible body for its implementation is the Ministry of Environment. The competent authority shall determine the amount of the import quotas provided for relating to the concerned substances. The Law provides for penalties and tates that the court may decide to confiscate the machinery and equipment used in the violation, remove the infringing works, return the situation to what it was at the expense of the violator and close the facility or place where the violation occurred for a limited period. The officials of the competent authority, shall have the power, in agreement with the Minister, to control and prove the crimes committed in violation of the provisions of the Law.
