Proclamation of 8 June 1949 on waters contiguous to the Territorial Sea of Qatar.

The waters, subsoil and seabed beneath the high seas of the Persian Gulf and contiguous to the territorial waters of Qatar and extending seawards to boundaries to be defined in the future, are declared to appertain to the Sheikdom of Qatar and to be subject to its exclusive jurisdiction and control.
