Resolution of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change No. 11 of 2025 regarding Instructions for the safe transportation of Radioactive Materials in vehicles.

This Resolution, comprising 9 articles, prohibits transporting radioactive materials or devices containing them using vehicles designated for passengers. Under Article 3, licensees must use fully enclosed, properly labeled trucks dedicated only to transporting radioactive materials, in line with Annex 1 requirements. Vehicles must not be used for other purposes and are subject to periodic and surprise inspections to ensure radiation levels stay within approved limits. Before granting the license, a risk assessment of the radioactive sources, as stipulated in Appendix 2, has to be conducted. Additionally, vehicles transporting radioactive materials must have a satellite tracking system and alarm system linked to the Ministry, in compliance with Annex 3 specifications. Furthermore, drivers of vehicles transporting radioactive materials must (i) not exceed a speed of 80 km/h on highways and 60 km/h on other roads; (ii) not stop in public places or markets. In matters not specifically addressed in this Resolution, the standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the safety of transporting radioactive materials shall apply.
