Resolution of the Minister of Municipality and Environment No. 170 of 2021 regarding the sorting of solid waste.

This Resolution consisting of 6 articles aims at regulating the sorting of solid waste and it applies to (i) recyclable waste (that can be reused or recycled, such as paper, plastic, iron, and glass containers); (ii) residual waste (processed materials or that have been got rid of them permanently, such as food residues and cleaning products). Article 2 regards the need for institutions, commercial and residential complexes, hotel establishments, etc. of providing and using an appropriate number of containers to store the waste resulting from their activities. The following articles deal with detailed issues on the containers rules. The competent department of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, in coordination with the competent authorities, shall monitor the implementation of this Resolution (art.5).
