Abstract
The Parties, considering their potential and long-term economic aspirations, will encourage bilateral cooperation in all fields of interest, especially in the economic, scientific and technical sectors. The objectives of this cooperation include, among others: (a) development of specialized industries; (b) the encouragement of economic cooperation and technical-scientific progress; (c) the protection and improvement of the environment; and (d) the contribution to the overall development of economies, as well as the standard of living. The provisions of this Agreement shall be applicable to agriculture, in particular regarding facilitation of the exchange of experience between experts from the public and private sectors, technicians, investors and representatives of the business environment, as well as the transfer of equipment, materials and know-how necessary for the implementation of the activities referred to in this Agreement.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement enters into effective on the date of receipt of the last notification by which the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia notify each other of the completion of the internal procedures for its entry into force.
