Abstract
The contracting Parties, within the limits of their countries' competences and legislation, will encourage and support the development of direct contacts between legal entities from both countries in the field of agriculture, food industry and forestry. Cooperation between the contracting countries in the field agriculture, food industry and forestry shall be performed in the following areas: (a) plant production: crop systems, joint production of new varieties, exchange of seeds and high-productivity genetic material, exchange of modern technologies for plant production and protection; (b) animal husbandry: cooperation in the field of breeding, improvement of reproductive material, artificial insemination and development; (c) mechanization of agricultural production: supporting tests and exchange of new technologies in the field of agricultural production; (d) food production: cooperation in the process of harmonizing the legislation of both countries regarding the agricultural sector and the food industry with the legislation of the European Union, exchange of technologies for the processing of agricultural raw materials, feed and food, support for the establishment of joint ventures; (e) scientific cooperation: support for joint research programs of agricultural and food research institutes, exchange of experts, information and scientific materials; (f) rural development: cooperation in the field of agriculture in areas with limited potential in agricultural production; (g) development of land quality; and (h) forest management in the private sector.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement will enter into force 30 days after the date of the last official notification by which the parties communicate the fulfillment of the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force.
Notes
This Agreement shall be open-ended. Each contracting party may denounce this Agreement in writing, through diplomatic channels. In this case, the agreement will expire 6 months from the date of receipt of the notice of its termination.
