Abstract
The Parties shall cooperate in the field of water management based on the principle of equality of rights and mutual benefit, in accordance with their applicable national legislation, statutes, rules, regulations and policies in force. The Parties shall cooperate in the following areas: (a) implementation of water policies, laws and regulations; (b) sustainable development and integrated management of water resources; (c) flood control, drought relief and disaster mitigation; (d) the protection, rehabilitation and sustainable management of aquatic ecosystems, including the construction of fish passages/sluices on rivers; (e) watershed planning and management; (f) soil erosion control and prevention of sedimentation in reservoirs; (g) monitoring, management and protection of groundwater; (h) planning, design, construction, management and maintenance of water infrastructure, including artificial and natural dams and canals; and (i) other relevant subjects of common interest.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement will enter into force on the date of transmission of the last written notification by which the parties inform each other, through diplomatic channels, of the fulfillment of the internal legal procedures necessary for its entry into force.
Notes
This Agreement is concluded for a period of 5 years and will be automatically extended, for subsequent periods of 5 years each, if neither party notifies the other party, in writing and at least 6 months before the expiration of the given period, of its intention to denounce this Agreement.
