Agreement on cooperation between the border/coast guard authorities of the states bordering the Black Sea.

The scope of the Agreement Intensification of existing links between border agencies/coast guards to prevent the trafficking of drugs, psychotropic substances, their substitutes and precursors, oil, illegal migration and other types of illegal activities, as well as strengthening the safety and security of navigation in the Black Sea. The Parties shall cooperate in the following fields: (a) laying the foundations for cooperation regarding the protection of the natural resources of the Black Sea and the prevention of violation of fishing rules; (b) prevention of maritime pollution and protection of the maritime environment; (c) improvement of the exchange of information; and (d) promotion of scientific research activity on oceanography and hydrography issues in the Black Sea.
