Abstract
The contracting parties will act, in accordance with their competences and with the national legislation in force, in order to boost bilateral cooperation in the field of agricultural economy, science, technology and processing of agricultural products, as well as to promote the establishment of direct links between enterprises in the two countries. The contracting parties aim to achieve the following objectives: (a) supporting cooperation in the field of agricultural science and technology between the research institutes involved and between other organizations; (b) exchange of experience and information regarding science and technology, infrastructure development and management in the field of agriculture; (c) collaborations in the field of genetics and selection of plants and animals, exchange of information regarding selection and support of cooperation between selection units of both contracting parties; (d) cooperation in preventing and combating epizootics; (e) supporting cooperation between organizations of veterinary and phytosanitary services; (f) supporting cooperation between agricultural information services; (g) exchange of experience and information in the field of food quality and safety management; (h) cooperation in the field of agricultural mechanization; and (i) exchange of specialists, experts and scientists.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement will enter into force on the date of receipt through diplomatic channels of the last written notification regarding the fulfillment by the contracting parties of the internal procedures necessary for entry into force of this Agreement.
Notes
This Agreement is concluded for a period of 5 (five) years. This Agreement will remain in force for successive periods of 5 (five) years, if none of the contracting parties will notify the other contracting party through diplomatic channels, at least 6 months before the completion of the respective period of validity of this Agreement, his intention to denounce him.
