Emergency Ordinance No. 38 amending Law No. 249 “On the management of packaging and packaging waste.”

In Article 13, paragraph (2) is amended and will have the following content: “(2) In order to encourage the reuse of returnable packaging, manufacturers and traders apply storage systems for the management of packaging, according to the procedure for implementing, controlling and monitoring the system- warehouse, approved by order of the Minister of Environment, Water and Forests”. Article 16, paragraph (2), letter a) is amended and will have the following content: “a) individually, by collecting and valorizing packaging waste from own activity or taken from waste generators or holders, authorized sorting stations, collectors, managed through authorized economic operators from the point of view of environmental protection for the collection and recovery of packaging waste.”
