Abstract
These quality standards regulate the quality requirements that must be met by water from natural areas designed for bathing, with the exception of water used for therapeutic purposes and water used for swimming pools. The quality standards for water in natural areas designed for bathing are approved, provided in the Annex which is an integral part of this Government Decision. Bathing water shall be intended a river or a lake or parts thereof, as well as sea water, in which bathing is explicitly authorized by the Ministry of Health and Family. The Ministry of Health and Family can approve, for the quality of bathing water in a certain area of bathing, and other values for parameters than those provided in the Annex. All established bathing areas, specially equipped for this purpose, must be authorized by the Ministry of Health and Family, and the values in the column "Mandatory values" provided in the Annex must be followed from the moment when bathing is allowed for the first time.
