Government Decision No. 856 regarding the record of waste management and validating the list of waste, including hazardous waste.

Economic agents that generate waste are obliged to keep records of their management, in accordance with the model provided in Annex No. 1, for each type of waste. Annually centralized data on waste management records are transmitted to territorial public authorities responsible for environmental protection, at their request. For the national record of waste management, the national authority, together with environmental protection center and territorial public authorities in the field of environmental protection, publishes the annual statistical reported information and data. Annually centralized data, related to waste management, are kept by the territorial public authorities responsible for environmental protection in a record register for a period of minimum 3 years. Waste shall be classified as hazardous, harmful, toxic, carcinogenic.
