Government Ordinance No. 37 regarding the acknowledgement and functioning of producer groups, for the marketing of agricultural and forestry products.

Agricultural and forestry producers organized in commercial companies, agricultural companies or in other forms of association in agriculture or in any other form of association according to the legislation in force can be recognized as groups of producers, if their main purpose is to capitalize on the production of the associated members and they meet the conditions established by this Ordinance. Producer shall be intended natural or legal person who capitalizes on his own production under the conditions provided by the legislation in force. Producer groups can request acknowledgement or preliminary acknowledgement from the competent state authority, as the case may be. The competent state authority is the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development. The minimum operating period of the producer group, under the terms of this ordinance, cannot be less than one year. Producer groups can benefit from financial support from the state budget through the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development and can request the release of it on behalf of their members, with their written consent.
