This Methodology aims to ensure that forestry activities are conducted sustainably, taking into account the protection of community and national habitats, as well as conservation objectives. The Methodology is intended for: (a) the environmental protection authorities competent for carrying out the environmental assessment procedure; (b) the National Agency for Protected Natural Areas; (c) the administrators of protected natural areas; (d) the central and territorial authorities competent in the field of forestry; (e) the holders of forest management plans; (f) the members of the Special Committee and of the working group; (g) the natural and legal persons certified for the development of environmental studies, the criteria for the certification of natural and legal persons performing thereof; and (h) units specialized in the development of forestry arrangements, certified by the central public authority responsible for forestry. The broader context includes compliance with European Union directives on environmental protection and biodiversity, reflecting a commitment to sustainable development and ecological integrity. The implementation plan involves a structured process where the forestry management plan's proponent must present a final alternative plan, preventive measures, and a monitoring program to a working group.
