Abstract
Government Control and Anticorruption Department is organized and operates within the framework of Government and is directly subordinated to the Prime Minister. The competence of Government Control and Anticorruption Department shall include: (a) jurisdiction over investigation of the infringement of legislation within apparatus of the Government, ministries and other specialized bodies of the central public administration; (b) verification of compliance with the legislation on economic and administrative issues; (c) control and supervision over the activities and actions that may be related to organized crime, corruption and that may affect national security; (c) verification of the conduct of financial operations, banking and insurance policies that are inconsistent with the legal provisions related to acts committed by civil servants; (d) control over management of state reserve stocks and resources; (e) control over use of government credits granted to government institutions by international financial bodies; (f) verification of the use of allowances and subsidies; and (g) verification of management of the patrimony of public institutions.
