Governmental EMERGENCY ORDINANCE No. 51 regarding the establishment of a state aid scheme to support the activity of breeders in the cattle, swine and poultry sectors in the context of the economic crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This EMERGENCY ORDINANCE establishes state aid scheme to support the activity of breeders in the cattle, swine and poultry sectors in the context of the economic crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. State aid shall be granted to: (a) in the cattle sector, to natural person breeders, legal persons, individual or family businesses, authorized natural persons, who, in 2022, carry out cattle breeding activity; (b) in the swine breeding sector, to legal person breeders, as well as individual businesses, family businesses or authorized natural persons, as the case may be, who, in 2021, carried out pig fattening and/or reproduction activities in sanitary-veterinary authorized holdings; and (c) in the poultry sector, poultry breeders individual and family entrepreneurs, authorized natural persons, as the case may be, as well as legal persons who, in 2021, carried out the activity of breeding young and adult and/or hatching and/or raising poultry for meat or for eggs for consumption in farms with sanitary-veterinary authorization. The total amount of aid that can be granted for each enterprise, which carries out its activity in the field of primary production of agricultural products shall not not exceed the equivalent in lei of 290,000 euros.
