Joint Order No. 10/368/11/2010 of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Environment and Forests and the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority validating the Regulation on the procedure for approving the biocidal products that are placed on the market on the Romanian territory.

This Joint Order establishes the procedure for approving the biocidal products that are placed on the market on the Romanian territory. Opinion shall be intended administrative act issued by the National Commission for Biocidal Products (CNPB), approving release and circulation of biocidal product on the market in Romania, on the basis of an evaluation report, containing the data and characteristics of the biocidal product. The field of use provided for in this act has indicative value and does not constitute an approval of biocidal products, that are placed on the market on the Romanian territory, for use of in specifically regulated areas, such as medical, food, veterinary, drinking water, bathing water. In order to obtain the opinion, the applicant submits to the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) – CNPB Technical Secretariat a technical file accompanied by a standard application, according to the model provided in Annex 1. The technical file of the biocidal product subject to approval according to the provisions of this order contains the following documents: (a) presentation document issued by the applicant, containing the following information: (a) trade name; (2). the type of biocidal product; (3) the field of use corresponding to the type of biocidal product, the indications for use, the concentration and the contact time for each use; (3) the form of packaging (e.g., liquid concentrate, granules, aerosols, powder), packaging and quantities expressed in metric units; (4) composition; (5) chemical composition; (6) indications regarding storage and final disposal conditions; and (7) categories of users: industrial, professional, population.
