Joint Order No. 57/675/2022 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and of the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests regarding the establishment of prohibited fishing periods and prohibited fishing areas, as well as areas of protection and biological restoration of living aquatic resources in 2022.

This Joint Order establishes prohibited fishing periods and prohibited fishing areas, as well as areas of protection and biological restoration of living aquatic resources in 2022. Measures are instituted of prohibition for commercial, recreational/sports and family fishing of any species of fish, crustaceans, molluscs and other live aquatic creatures in natural fish habitats, for a period of 60 days, from April 9 to June 7 inclusive, and in the waters that constitute the state border, for a period of 45 days, from April 24 to June 7 inclusive. Biological recovery areas are declared for the following living aquatic resources: (a) the Prut river, the sector between the Stânca-Costeÿti dam and the confluence with the Elan river, all year round, except recreational/sports fishing, which will be carried out outside the prohibition periods; (b) the Old Danube, the sector between the confluence with the Sulina canal, from Mm 8 + 900 and up to the confluence with the Rÿducu canal, all year round; (c) Lake Gâsca in the Somova-Parcheÿ Complex, all year round; (d) the Erenciuc and Zmeica lakes, all year round; (e) the Bÿrbosu Canal (canal that connects the Cardon Canal and the Letea Canal); (f) the old course of the Sfântu Gheorghe branch, in the areas between km.: 29-44; 49-58; 64-84, all year round, with the exception of commercial fishing, allowed only from December 1 to March 31, and from March 31 to June 15 inclusive, only mackerel fishing is allowed between km 57-58, without prejudice to prohibition periods provided in this order.
