Abstract
The scope of the Governmental Ordinance shall be to ensure safety and continuity of natural gas supply, energetic efficiency, environmental protection and consumers’ safety. The policy in the natural gas sector shall be based upon: (a) safety of natural gas supply; (b) ensuring environmental protection; (c) increase of natural gas use; (d) development of natural gas storage capacities. The Law consists of 13 Chapters divided into 89 articles dealing with the following matters: policy (Chapt. 1); general provisions regarding natural gas production; transport, transit, distribution, storage and supply (Chapt. 2); access to natural gas transport and distribution systems (Chapt. 7); access to somebody else’s property for transportation or distribution of natural gas (Chapt. 13). Natural gas supply, storage and distribution are subject to licensing.
Entry into force notes
The Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Notes
Chapters 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 are repealed.
