Abstract
Healthy nutrition means a diet scientifically proven to be optimal for the growth, development and maintenance of the health of children and adolescents in communities. Food not recommended for preschoolers and schoolchildren means food with a substantial intake of compounds with a harmful effect on health, such as fats, salt, sugar, sweeteners, food additives, to the detriment of compounds with a beneficial effect, such as fiber, vitamins, nutrients. Communities mean all state and private pre-university education units, including holiday centers, units providing similar services, nurseries and units intended to host students after the end of the school program. The state recognizes the particular importance of the health of the population. Citizens' adoption of healthy nutritional habits is a major component of public health. This Law affirms the role of the state, civil society and citizens in promoting healthy nutrition among the younger generation. The right of civil society and citizens to be involved in the development of strategies and methodologies of this Law is guaranteed. Competent state institutions draw up, update and disseminate the list of foods not recommended for preschoolers and schoolchildren. The menus served in canteens or locations similar to canteens in communities are approved by the medical staff and approved by the head of the unit. The school programs developed by the Ministry of Education, Research and Youth will include topics regarding the formation of healthy nutritional behavior in children and adolescents.
