Law No. 338 regarding the recognition and functioning of producer groups, for the marketing of agricultural and forestry products.

The following legal forms may be acknowledged as producer groups or producer organizations: (a) commercial companies; (b) agricultural companies and other forms of association in agriculture; (c) associations and foundations; (d) agricultural cooperatives; and (e) any other legal form of association, according to the legislation in force. Producer groups and organizations, as well as preliminarily acknowledged producer groups operate and can be acknowledged for one or more product groups. The main criteria for acknowledgement of the group of producers are: (a) to be established at the initiative of agricultural and forestry producers; (b) to meet the minimum acknowledgement conditions regarding the number of members and the value of the jointly traded production; and (c) to market at least 75% of its own production through the group of producers.
