Abstract
This Law establishes the voluntary certification scheme "Origin Romania - DOR" to support activities to promote Romanian agrifood products. The procedure is voluntary and applies to the labelling of agri-food products that use basic raw materials of Romanian origin in the manufacturing process and that comply with the requirements provided by law. The procedure applies throughout the territory of Romania, in compliance with the provisions contained in the legislation of the European Union. The competent authority responsible for the implementation of the procedure is the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. "De origine Romania - DOR" certificate shall be intended document issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which certifies the recognition of the quality of the food product in accordance with this procedure and which gives the possibility of voluntary labelling agri-food products with DOR certificate. Agro-food product "De origin Romania - DOR" shall be intended any food product, unprocessed or processed, intended for human consumption, which is certified in accordance with this procedure. Annex contain the image of label "Origin Romania - D.O.R.".
