Abstract
National Apiculture Program 2014 – 2016 is a nationwide policy document aimed at protection and promotion of associative forms of apiculture - beekeepers' associations, beekeeping federations, beekeeping unions, agricultural cooperatives or recognized producer groups, and combating bee diseases. It also makes available to potential applicants/beneficiaries, forms and information on how to access to financial support for beekeepers.
National Apiculture Program 2014 – 2016 establishes the List of products approved by the Institute for Control of Biological Products and Veterinary Medicine and the List of authorized veterinary establishments marketing bee and/or swarm families on combs.
The beneficiaries of the financial support are beekeepers, individuals and legal entities, individual enterprises/entrepreneurs and family enterprises, organized in associations of beekeepers, federations, beekeeping unions, cooperatives, recognized agricultural or producer groups in accordance with the legislation in force.
Responsible public institutions shall be: (a) Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development which elaborates the sectoral development strategy and the legislative framework for implementation of Community regulations on the common organization of the market in bee products and elaborates the National Beekeeping Program; (b) Agricultural Payments and Intervention Agency which is the competent authority for the elaboration of the applicant's guide for granting financial support in the beekeeping sector, the form for requesting financial support in the beekeeping sector and registration and centralization of requests as well as making payments according to the measures contained in the National Apiculture Program (NAP); (c) National Agency for Animal Husbandry is the competent authority for the activity of registration of hives and apiaries through implementation of the unitary identification system and by managing the statistical database for the beekeeping sector, carrying out control on compliance with the eligibility conditions by applicants and beekeepers in applications to request financial support from the NAP; and (d) Agency for the Financing of Rural Investments which collaborates with Agricultural Payments and Intervention Agency (APIA) in order to exchange information for good management of National Apiculture Program.
National Apiculture Program 2014 – 2016 contains Applicant’s Guide for access to Community and National Financial Support granted to Beekeeping Sector.
