Order No. 219 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Foresta and Rural Development validating the Regulation on registration of operators in ecological agriculture.

This Regulation establishes the rules for the registration of operators in organic agriculture that produce, process, import from third countries, store or distribute organic products for the purpose of commercialization. The aforesaid operators must register their activity every year, by 1 June, with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, through the specialized department and submit sample of produce for control to inspection and certification body. In the situation where a producer manages several farms, the applicant will complete a set of registration forms for each farm/ecological unit. In order to verify the information contained in the registration forms, the operator provides other documents at the request of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development.
