Abstract
The Minimum operating requirements shall be applicable to small capacity slaughterhouses intended as a unit with adequate spaces and facilities where activities are carried out for the reception, accommodation and slaughter of a small number of animals, as well as for the delivery of edible products. The small capacity slaughterhouses shall operate on the basis of the veterinary sanitary authorization issued by the veterinary sanitary services, in accordance with the specific legislation in force. Animals intended for slaughter must be identified and accompanied by a veterinary certificate, the document on the information for the food chain, as well as other identification documents according to the legislation in force. Carcasses, half-carcasses, quarters and organs obtained from slaughter in slaughterhouses on the farm shall be marketed in the national territory to slaughterhouses, butchers, restaurants, canteens, tourist boarding houses and grocery stores.
