Abstract
This Order validates the organization and operation of the Phytosanitary Police on the national territory, made up of specialized personnel from the National Phytosanitary Agency, the Central Laboratory for Phytosanitary Quarantine, phytosanitary units and customs phytosanitary quarantine inspectorates. The Phytosanitary Police controls the application and compliance with phytosanitary legislation and the phytosanitary quarantine regime. The specialized staff from public authorities with responsibilities in the field of plant protection and of the phytosanitary quarantine, which is empowered to carry out controls, detect contraventions and apply sanctions according to this Order, is provided in the Annex which is an integral part of this order. The authorized personnel of the Phytosanitary Police within the National Phytosanitary Agency and the Central Laboratory for Phytosanitary Quarantine exercises its powers throughout the national territory, and with the phytosanitary units and customs phytosanitary quarantine inspectorates, only within the counties and, respectively, the control points for crossing the state border within the radius of which it carries out its activity.
