Decision on the establishment of the Sectoral Council for sectors of agriculture, food production, forestry, fisheries and veterinary medicine.

This Decision proclaims the establishment of the national Sector Council for sectors of agriculture, food production, forestry, fisheries and veterinary. This Council is established for areas related to plant production and livestock breeding, including management and maintenance of farms and production of unprocessed plant and animal products (livestock, farming, fruit growing), then horticulture (floriculture, nursery management), forestry, fisheries and veterinary, then food production, processing and packaging of food and beverages, as well as equipment and procedures applied in food production and distribution. Tasks of the Council are to: 1) analyze existing and determine the necessary qualifications in these sectors; 2) identify qualifications that need to be updated; 3) identify qualifications that no longer meet the needs of certain sector; 4) make a decision on the development of proposals for qualification standards within the sector; 5) give an opinion on the expected outcomes of knowledge and skills within the sector; 6) promote dialogue and direct cooperation between the world of work and education; 7) promote opportunities for education, training and employment in these sectors; 8) identify opportunities for adult training within the sector; 9) consider the implications of national qualifications framework on intra-sector qualifications; 10) propose lists of qualifications by levels and types that can be acquired through recognition of prior learning; 11) perform other tasks in accordance with the Law on national qualifications framework of the Republic of Serbia.
