Decree entrusting works for the improvement of agricultural production to farmers, agricultural holdings and other producers.

This Decree, based on the provisions of the Law on Agricultural Service (published in the Official Gazette of Republic of Serbia 61/1991) and still in force under the terms of the Law on agricultural advisory and professional activities (Official Gazette 30/2010), states the following: The Institute for the Application of Science in Agriculture from Belgrade is entrusted with the organization and execution of certain tasks aimed to improve the national agricultural production, as follows: 1) Organizing an information system on the state, capacities and measures for the improvement of agricultural production; 2) Informing about technological innovations and issuing publications on scientific and professional achievements in the field of agricultural production; 3) Advisory and consulting activities related to the improvement of agricultural production towards companies and other legal entities; 4) Organizing professional consultations and other forms of transferring innovations in agricultural production; 5) Participation in the construction of long-term and annual programmes for the improvement of agricultural production and monitoring over their implementation. This text further indicates several related institutions that are further entrusted for the performance of specific tasks in different agricultural production geographical areas and application sectors.
