Law on transport of dangerous goods.

This Law regulates the conditions for performing internal and international transport of dangerous goods in road, rail and inland water transport as regards the territory of the Republic of Serbia, here not meant for maritime transport (for full list of exceptions see article 2). The Law is divided into 7 Chapters and 81 articles. The Chapters are: Introductory provisions (1); Basic rules for transport of dangerous goods (2); Authorities and obligations of authorities and organizations, and participants in transport of dangerous goods (3); Special provisions for transport of dangerous goods by road (4); Supervisions (5); Penalty provisions (6); Transitional and final provisions (7).
This text sets the requirements in relation to packaging, mobile equipment, and administrative issues necessary for the safe and controlled transport and transit of potentially dangerous (for environment, human and animal health) goods and substances.
This Law further defines the methods for examination and inspection; competent state authorities and organizations in the transport of dangerous goods; conditions and obligations that should be meet by all participants in the above mentioned activity; and offences and related penalties.
