Abstract
This Law prescribes all rules and standards governing the terms and conditions of the exploitation of mineral on the territory of the Serbian Republic.
Mining resources are considered to be mineral and other similar compositions on surface and underground, the river or lake bottom or below it, as well as construction, use and maintenance of mining facilities.
The provisions of this Law shall not apply to the extraction of sand, gravel and stones from river beds, sandbars, abandoned channel and the area threatened by erosion, which do not contain ingredients other useful minerals.
Mineral Resources, as a natural resource owned by the state, can be used under the conditions and in the manner prescribed by this Law.
Mineral resources, in terms of this Act, shall be considered: 1) all types of coal and oil shale; 2) hydrocarbons in liquid and gaseous state (oil and gas) and other natural gases; 3) radioactive mineral deposits; 4) metallic mineral deposits and their usable compounds; 5) technogenic mineral resource as a result of mining and processing of mineral resources; 6) non-metallic mineral resources and raw materials for building materials; 7) all kinds of salts and salt water; 8) underground waters that can receive valuable minerals and geothermal energy, as well as ground water associated with mining technology and gasses that can occur with them.
This Law is divided into VIII Chapters and 101 articles.
