Abstract
This publication, as in accordance with the Law on planning system of the Republic of Serbia, provides for the Programme for the development of winemaking and viticulture in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2021–2031. This Programme of development of winemaking and viticulture of the Republic of Serbia for the period 2021–2031 determines the goals and measures for the development of winemaking and viticulture, the implementation of which should result in increasing the total vineyard area under vines, increasing the number of employees through employment in the wine and viticulture sector, increasing revenue from wine sales to end users, protection and development of the domestic market, as well as other aspects that contribute to the improvement of the sector. This Programme further contributes to the achievement of strategic goals set by the Strategy for Agricultural Development and Rural Development of the Republic of Serbia for the period 2014-2024. The Programme is thematically divided into seven parts: 1) introductory considerations with basic information on the planning, institutional and legal framework; 2) description of the existing situation; 3) vision of the development of viticulture and winemaking; 4) measures for achieving the goal of the Programme; 5) mechanism for implementation of the Programme and manner of reporting on the results of its implementation; 6) budget for the implementation; 7) effects of the implementation of the Programme on viticulture and winemaking
