Abstract
This text contains the Serbian national Programme for the improvement of the management of animal by-products for the period from 2020 until 2024.
The Programme is thematically divided into five sections, as follows: introductory considerations with basic information on the program, legal and institutional framework; state of the sector of animal by-products; long-term overall objectives and specific objectives for improving the management of animal by-products; mechanism for implementation of the Programme; action plan for the implementation of the Programme.
The overall objective is to achieve a high level of protection of human and animal health, environmental protection, as well as to increase the competitiveness of Serbian products on domestic and international markets.
