Regulation on detailed conditions and procedure for obtaining rights to use of the ecological sign, elements, appearance and mode for using eco-label for products, processes, and services.

This Regulation establishes the conditions and procedures for obtaining the right to use the ecological sign also called eco-label, including its contents, appearance and manner for its use and application to products, processes and services that shall appear as eco-labeled.
The provisions of this Regulation shall not apply to food products and beverages, agricultural and other products if obtained in accordance with organic production rules.
The principles on which the use of the eco-label is based are: volunteerism; verification, accuracy, relevance and clarity of information on eco-labeled products; compliance with national regulations and national and international standards; compliance of the eco-label with the requirements of international markets; recognition and measurability of characteristics of products marked with eco-label that are based on scientific methodology; inventiveness that contributes to the protection of the environment; equality; availability of information; participation of all interested parties; friendly attitude towards nature; contribution to the protection of human health and protection of the environment.
