Regulation determining the criteria for designation of protected water areas.

This Regulation sets the criteria to be applied when submitting the request for designation of a specific protected area (also if containing habitats or animal and/or plant species) where there is a functional dependence on water and where the water status is an essential element.
Major purpose of the designation of such area is not only to protect the natural wealth inside, but also to improve the status of waters present (also if there is an economic use of fish stock, and aquatic plants).
