Abstract
This Regulation determines the contents of the Serbian General Plan for Flood Defense, which complete text is also part of this publication. The Plan is divided into nine main sections as follows: 1. Introductory provisions; 2. Territorial organization of flood defense; 3. Organizing flood defense; 4. Preventive measures, activities, works and reporting on the state and readiness for flood defense; 5. Coordination and management of flood defense; 6. Flood defense phases and emergency; 7. Powers and duties of persons who coordinate flood defense; 8. Duties, responsibilities and authorities of persons managing flood defense and reporting on conducted flood defense; and 9. Duties and responsibilities of companies and other entities involved in the implementation of flood defense, emergency interventions and works.
Measures that must be taken preventively and in the year-period of high level of waters (external and internal) and accumulation of ice on the watercourse, the manner of institutional organization of flood defense, duties, responsibilities and authorities of defense managers, institutions and other persons responsible for flood defense, manner of monitoring and recording of hydrological and other data, forecast of occurrences, notifications and other related data to be considered and collected are all topics defined by this Plan.

This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, and it shall be valid for a period of six years, starting the day of its entry into force.
