Abstract
This Regulation determines the methodology for making of preliminary flood risk assessment for the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
The preliminary flood risk assessment is made to assess existing or potential flood risks, based on available data on previously occurred floods, and an analysis of long-term trends affecting the degree of flood risk, including climate change factors.
The preliminary flood risk assessment considers significant floods from the past, the probability of occurrence of similar flood events in the future, possible harmful consequences of future floods, and maps showing the available data.
The risk of floods is here defined as a combination of the probability of flood occurrence and possible harmful consequences of such floods on human health, environment, cultural heritage and economic activities.
The Annex is part of this publication (containing reporting sheets for assessing the data on significant flood from the past; data on significantly possible future flood; data on a significant flood area).
