Abstract
This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Serbian Food safety Law, provides the monitoring Programme for the safety of food of animal origin and imported animal feed for the year 2022. Monitoring includes food of animal origin and feed for animals imported into the Republic of Serbia and it shall be carried out: 1) at certain border crossings where veterinary-sanitary control is performed, in accordance with the law regulating veterinary medicine; 2) in places of unloading of shipments in warehouses that are approved or registered in accordance with related special regulations. This monitoring Programme is implemented for the purpose of veterinary-sanitary control, in order to ensure that imported food of animal origin and animal feed meet safety and quality requirements (same standards applied for animal origin food and animal feed that is produced in the Republic of Serbia and placed on the national market).
