Regulation establishing the Water Management Programme for 2020.

This Regulation determines the contents of the Serbian annual (2020) Water management Programme. Activities of general interest in water management to be financed in 2020, as well as the amount of funds for the performance of these activities are also determined.
Basic and main task defined in this text are as follows: Water management and use; Protection of water from pollution; Regulation of watercourses and protection against the harmful effects of water; and Planning and international cooperation in the field of water.
In general and for the year 20202, this Programme indicates works that will be carried out on the construction and reconstruction of water facilities for drinking water supply and sanitary needs, drinking water treatment plants, main pipelines and tanks with devices belonging to them in public ownership, construction and reconstruction of water facilities for collection, drainage and treatment of wastewater and protection of publicly owned water, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation and maintenance of regulated and protective water facilities in public ownership and maintenance of watercourses, maintenance of irrigation and drainage facilities in public ownership, construction of water protection facilities erosions and torrents in public ownership, as well as protective works on prevention and elimination of harmful effects of erosion and torrents. Also, in 2020, works will be carried out on the implementation of flood defense against external and internal waters and ice accumulation, water quality testing, elimination of accidental water pollution, investigative works on surface water springs and protection of water supply sources, preparation of technical documentation for publicly owned water facilities, works on the preparation of studies, projects and planning documents, investment works on behalf of the Republic of Serbia, works arising from international cooperation in the field of water, as well as activities to improve water management and use, water protection from pollution and on the improvement of watercourse regulation and protection from the harmful effects of water.
