Abstract
This Regulation here determines the Serbian Animal Food Safety Monitoring Program for the year 2024 (also part of this text). The monitoring includes food of animal origin that is produced on the territory of the Republic of Serbia and it shall be carried out in facilities for: 1) production of food of animal origin; 2) storage and distribution; 3) retail sale of products of animal origin. Also monitoring includes food of animal origin imported into the territory of the Republic of Serbia, namely: 1) mechanically separated meat (MSM); 2) milk powder and whey powder; 3) egg products - in liquid form; 4) fish; 5) processed fishery products; 6) gelatin and collagen. The monitoring program is created on the basis of: 1) the existing situation in the food safety system of animal origin, including data on unsafe food on the local market, in the region and from imports; 2) data on the production and consumption of food of animal origin; 3) data on previously established non-conformities during official controls of food of animal origin; 4) information from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (or RASFF).
